The future of the non-commute
Posted by Billy on Feb 20, 2012 in from Around the Web, Technology | 0 commentsIn WIRED magazine recently, they posed an interesting article on driverless cars. I thought it was killer and definitely look forward to the day we have no longer have to drive.
I actually like driving but not commuting, a completely different experience… Just think of the possiblities! No longer would cards need to be designed around the act of driving, productivity would go through the roof (as well as entertainment and nap time…). All of this while being safer (considering the majority of accidents are human error…). I have since found several other videos and infographics on the subject. Google is a significant player in this new world (no surprise) and here is a vid on what they are up to:
Sebastian Thrun is the lead on Google’s new project and he spoke at TED this past year (2011) sharing some of the vision “TED” style…
I found the following infographic recently, not sure if it was influenced by the above videos and articles but highly likely…
